Hi Bob,

Im no expert at all, but that sounds very much to me like Keisha was letting the puppies know that jumping all over her head is not the kind of behaviour she is going to allow. Puppies can be very pushy and often dont realise how rough they are so the older dog just reminds them of their boundaries.

From the rest of your post, she sounds a very sociable girl and I wouldnt be worrying about aggression issues at all. You do have to constantly socialise Akita's, but that should be done with any breed of dog, and it sounds very much like Keisha has a better social life than me Akita bitches can be quite dominant with other dogs, my own has a very low tolerance for adult dogs but loves puppies and playing with them.

Personally, I dont think any dog bites for no reason. Theres virtually always a trigger, it could be food, toys, dominance or even fear.
If your dog doesn't like someone, then you probably shouldn't either !
