TOPIC: Why do they eat poo?

Re: Why do they eat poo? 19 Oct 2011 21:21 #1359

Hi Pip...my daughter rescued her blue Staffie from a yard(poor thing she was kept as a watchdog) where she had a wooden box to sleep in....she kept eating her poo & we put it down to either she was cleaning up after her(as no-one else would) or she was starving!!...it's taken some time now, but she's gradually stopped...hope you find out why Kira's eating what she shouldn't ....the thought of it yuck ....Pam Maya & Scoobie

I had a Lab/GSD cross dog who not only did he eat his own poo, he would bring a "little gift " into the house and offer it to us!! he was a bit of an anxious dog, but the vet checked him out and suggested that he was proberly just eating it `cos he liked the taste like the vet said "if it tates nice going in it proberly tastes good coming out" so we just made sure we cleared the pooh up straight away and he soon got out of the habbit good luck with sorting it out
