Hi All

sorry to kick off the new year with news like this but i felt I should keep you all informed

The big man was ill new years eve and went down hill quickly

Hes on pain killers the vets aren't sure what is wrong

I had a massive melt down in the night with him new year I rang the vet and thought he wasn't going to make it through the night but in true JD style hes still here The vet was very sympathetic with me even though it was 3 o clock in the morning he said he would come out to him but he thought he would settle down and the vet was right he did settle I stayed with him all night and he kept coming up to me crying in my face then going away LOL ( typical man wanting sympathy )

Hes picked up a little but they think it might be internal bleeding and I'm going back today for him to have blood tests and talk about what we think it is. I do understand all the medication he has been on all these years will be the cause of his problems but its still hard when it happens .

I'm trying to be positive but i know hes on borrowed time and I have to tell my self hes done well to get to this age but I didn't want him to leave me like that in pain I can see a great improvement in him each day and hope its something I can help him with

will keep you all updated

love and hugs Dawn xxxxx

Oh no Dawn

Im sorry to hear super duper JD is not feeling well. I hope it is something he can recover quickly from.

He is such a fighter and has done so well to be where he is.

Please let us know how it goes at the vets. You are both in my thoughts and I will be thinking of you

Hugs for you and the big guy xx
If your dog doesn't like someone, then you probably shouldn't either !

Hi Dawn

I'm really sorry to hear that poor old JD is having a bit of a struggle and my heart goes out to you as you have to watch him suffer.

We all know what a hero JD has been over the years and he is one very special boy - but he has astonished us time and time again so let's hope he will surprise us as before and pull on through.

We are all here supporting you and praying for you all so please don't feel you are on your own. JD knows how much you love him and you only have to look at his photos to see that he loves you the same.

Stay strong and give JD a big hug and kiss from us.

My old Benny used to come up and cry in my face too, it turned out to be his kidneys. Just like JD and as you know Benny was on medication most of his life and it can play havock on the system over time, but with a change in diet and new medication he soon picked up JD is such a fighter and he is loved so much that he'll come through this scare yet again, he's like one of those old fashion "wonder balls" he just keeps on bouncing back!
