Hi everyone I am new on the forum, my boy Roman has been diagnosed with Aseptic Meningitis I wondered if anyone has had a dog with this condition or knows anything about it, He has been on steroids now for 3 weeks but doesn't seem to be responding its so sad to see him like this. He is back seeing the neurologist soon so I am hoping there is other medication that may help him any info will be gratefully received .

I'm so sorry to hear this, I wish I'd heard of it, but I haven't so can't offer any advice, all I know is that some steroids can make you feel a bit rough so that might be adding to his symptoms, what has the vet said about him not responding? I know in humans menengitis can knock you for six and it takes some time to recover from, it's proberly the same for dogs, but I bet he'll suddenly bounce back to health and surprise you our dogs do have a tendency to do that don't they
