Been some time since I last wrote on here. We took Zeta back to the RSPCA so we could get amother credit for spaying as they only issue one for 4 months. The local RSPCA are in the process of javing a Vet surgery built and we will be taking her back there at the end of June (unless she comes back into season again. Her training is coming on slowly. We took her to a local wood at weekend and as there were no other dogs there, we let her off the lead. She really loved it, all that room to run about in although she did not go to far away from us. She would not return by calling, but we just walked away and she came running past us. The only way to catch her was for us to sit on a log and she came and sat beside us. Really suprised us, but we were very pleased with the result. She still pulls on the lead, but we fitted her with a head collar (recomended by the trainer) and she is a pleasure to take walking. We will have to see what she is like when she comes back after a week in kennels.

My asia's training was slow, akita's like to do things in their own way and own time Just like the not coming when called, that's very typical akita I never let Asia off lead because she would find it great un to completly ignore me She's very happy on her retractable lead though.

It sounds like Zeta is coming along fine

Well, she has finally been spayed (last Wednesday) and she was a very sorry dog for a couple of days.
We had started taking her to a dog trainer before that and she was allowed to run in a field with other dogs. What a beautiful sight to see her so happy and running around with other dogs. She is still a pain when we take her for walks on the lead, but the new trainer says that he will be able to put that right in a short time. Onward and upwards.
