Great news about Kobi's diet ....sounds like he's really enjoying his new food .....lovely to hear you had a good walk today & he was confident with the other dogs around him ......I hope you don't meet another idiot Dave, but chances are you will ....there are so many out there , but lets hope it's not for another few years .....Pam Maya & Scoobie

Yes Dave Duke will always have a special place in your heart & no dog will or can replace that...but what Kobi has done, is given you another special dog to love & bond with....& that's exactly what has happened .... after all what you two have been through these last weeks, you have really bonded......I'm glad he ignored that dog today, it shows he has not been affected by the incident & that's all down to you ....Kobi isn't a strange Akita, he's a normal Bear....that's what they do to their owners, baffle them .....Pam Maya & Scoobie

hi thanks Pam Maya & Scoobie your right he is great. when i have to go into town to do some shopping all i want to do is get home to him and when i open the door he goes nuts and runs out side to play football. i have a plastic right knee and sometime i have to sleep in because my tablets put me out and kobi will not leave the bedroom untill i get up. by the way i have had the ortopsey report back about duke he had a broken disc in is spine witch had damaged is spinel core and the spinel core had started to die. in 2010 me and duke were in a bad car crash i pulled duke out of the wreck and then i woke up in hospital and duke was taken to a vet and treated but it looks like the vet missed his spine.the report has been sent to G.S.D.rescure.

It sounds like you and Kobi have made an unbreakable bond Akita`s are such a loyal breed and they very quickly get into your heart and as Pam says, just like duke, he`s another loyal and special dog to bond with, you'll have so many new memories to make with Kobi

Glad he likes his new grub, my Asia loves to sit while I chope her dinner up and wait for bits of carrots and stuff to fall to the ground, I often just accidently on purpose let bits drop so that she thinks she`s got lucky she looks so excited when she manages to grab a scrap or two

That's sad to hear about the report on Duke...mistakes happen & although it might make you angry, you just have to move on...which you have with Kobi ....my Pyraneese Mountain Dog was misdiagnosed(not by my vet, but a locum as she was on maternity leave) & if he had been diagnosed correctly, he would have lived another 2 to 3 yrs....my vet was angry about it & never used the locum again, she was very fond of Marley, but like I said mistakes happen...& sometimes for a good reason, as I have my Maya now, & I love her to bits, madam that she is ....glad you recovered from that awful accident & I bet Kobi is glad too .....Pam Maya & Scoobie
