hi well kobis training is going great i have started kobi on getting used to children he has been doing it for 3 days now and he just loves the attention. when we go out for walks we do some time run into famlys and i have had the odd child that thinks its normal to run up to kobi yelling so i have started getting him used to children also in a way i hope to get the message across to children to be aware of strange dogs and always ask the owner if they can stroke the dog. but as with all training i am still taking one day at a time and i will keep you informed to is progress.

Great to hear Kobi's progressing well in his training, specially with children....& I think you're doing the right thing Dave, by making children aware that they shouldn't approach dogs without asking first .....my Maya loves kids & always gives them a great big wet slobbery kiss when the pet her .....you're doing a grand job of socialising Kobi, Akitas love being part of a family & although they can be aloof sometimes they love attention too ......Pam Maya & Scoobie

Well, I wouldn't worry about his tail down, he obviously adores you! It is sometimes hard to 'read' these Akitas isn't it? When KIri used to have her tail down in the house I used to worry and think she was unhappy but as time has passed I think now that it's down when she's relaxed. Which with Kiri is quite a lot of the time!
