If you go down to our wood today,
You might just get a surprise,
For their you'll find Ruby bear playing,
With Pearly who's half her size

Oh I loved that! I feel like I've just been or a walk in the woods Rubes and Pearly look so happy together It looks like Rubes is in control of her daughter I really miss having two dogs, it's great to just stand and watch them play together isn't it and to let them off lead and not to have to worry about some unruly dog (and owner) coming around the corner must make for a very relaxing few hours out

The woods look lovely and autumnal with the leaves on the woodland floor

I'm going back for another peek at the Rubes and Pearly vidio

Glad you like it, cute aren't they?

While I'll let them off for a supervised run-round, from now on young madam will be kept restrained in future while I work, rather than being allowed to sniff around and wander. She's been good for the last year, sitting close by, but she decided to go 'walkabout' on Monday. There are loads of pheasants at the minute, she probably chased one and then kept going. I spent 2 hours looking for her and my Mrs and her colleagues also came out to form search parties, so we had about 6 of us trying to find her. Fortunately she hates traffic and the wood is nowhere near major roads, so I thought she'd be in the fields somewhere. It was getting dark at 5PM when my mobile rang. Fortunately, after a previous excursion I had the foresight to buy a mobile, carry it with me and put the number on a tag round her collar. "Have you lost a dog?" -Thank you, where is she? She was sitting on a muckheap, having changed colour and dripping in pedigree Holstein poo, on a farm some 1/2 a mile away.

Ruby has never gone walkabout, she's very loyal, but Pearly is very confident and a free spirit. Not any more, ball and chain after walkies while I'm working in the wood. The bathroom still smells of cow.

Wow! naughty Pearly I hope she's learned her lesson but what a relief to have got her back even though she must have been a teeny bit stinky a photo of a cow poo covered Pearly would have been very funny to see
