Meet Akira, a lovely girl searching for a new home through no fault of her own. At 5, she is still a big puppy, she’s inquisitive, and would thrive in an environment with plenty to do and a firm, yet gentle guardian to guide her and help her in his journey of learning and being a great member of the family.
About Akira
Smart and Trainable: Akira already knows several basic commands like “sit,” “paw,” and “down.” She’s a quick learner who would benefit from further training, especially if treats are involved!
At times, Akira can be a bit mouthy when she’s excited and can be strong on the lead. However, with the right guidance, equipment and consistent lead training, she will learn to overcome this.
Akira is not fond of other dogs and can be reactive. She would benefit from some confident and consistent training to include neutrality. Her new owners would need to advocate for her and not let off-lead dogs approach.
While she can be a little cautious meeting new people, Akira will benefit greatly from love, patience, and continued socialisation.
Cat-Friendly: Having grown up with cats, Akira could potentially live harmoniously with a feline friend, although she get’s on well with her own household cats, there is no guarantee she will in a new home. So introductions must be done carefully.
Ideal Home
The only dog: She need to be the only dog in the home, soaking up all the love and attention. No small furries.
Adults only: Akira has been raised in an adult-only environment, so we recommend a home without small children under the age of 12
Breed experienced Owners: If you have breed experience and are willing to dedicate time to support Akira’s training and development, we want to hear from you!
She needs a secure garden with robust 6ft fencing.
Akira would not be suited to life in a flat.
If you live in rented accommodation, we must see proof of landlord’s permission to own a large breed dog on the premises – This is non-negotiable!
Important considerations
Prospective adopters should be prepared with an adequate pet insurance policy to cover any eventualities.
Akira is already spayed and jabs will be up to date.
