Meet Loki, he’s is a handsome 2-year-old Akita who found himself alone as an unclaimed stray, but he hasn’t let that stop him from being a kind, loveable lad.
True to his breed, Loki is loyal, intelligent, and has a calm, steady presence that makes him a joy to be around. He’s affectionate with those he bonds with and has that classic Akita dignity—paired with a surprisingly goofy, gentle side once he feels at home and settled.
Due to his size, Loki would do best with someone who has experience with large, confident breeds—especially Akitas.
He would thrive as the only pet in the home, where he can soak up all the love and attention, but may also live happily alongside a calm, older female dog following successful introductions.
Loki is looking for a patient, loving home that understands and respects the noble spirit of the Akita. In return, he’ll be a devoted and steady companion for life.
We are advertising Loki on behalf of another rescue based in Pembrokeshire, South West Wales. While they do rehome across the UK, please keep his location in mind, as visits to the centre are essential. They will also prioritise home offers that are closer to the centre.
