Miki is a stunning 5 year old long coat Akita who’s every bit as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. She was born in rescue when her mum arrived pregnant, and she’s been loved and cared for ever since. The only long coat in her litter, Miki found her forever home, but sadly, after life changes and the loss of her beloved owner, she has found herself looking once again for a special family to love her.
We are advertising her on behalf of another rescue to help find her the right breed-experienced home.
Miki is a gentle, calm, and affectionate girl who enjoys her walks, a little paddle in the water, and relaxing outdoors keeping an eye on her people. She loves her home comforts but is just as happy chilling outside, content to know you’re nearby.
Miki has lived happily with other dogs, including her brother, but would also thrive as an only dog.
She’s good with the cats she knows but can become excitable when she spots them outside, so a cat free home would be best.
Miki hasn’t lived with children, so she’s looking for a calm, adult home or one with children aged 16+.
She is fully vaccinated, microchipped, neutered, and up to date with flea and worm treatment.
Miki would suit an experienced large breed home where she isn’t left alone for long periods. She’d love a secure garden to potter and relax in and people who understand the loyal, sensitive nature of the Akita breed.
