With a heart full of love and energy to match. Raven is eagerly waiting to become part of an active family; she would do well in obedience work or perhaps agility as she is driven and focused and looking for someone to bring her potential out.
Raven came into ARW’s care recently as a council stray with no name.
The vet estimates her to be just over a year old as her teeth are super white.
Although she wasn’t emaciated, Raven came into our care very underweight with her ribs and backbone showing.
She is steadily gaining weight, though still on the lean and gangly teenager side, she is now blossoming under our wing.
Raven is typical of the breed and has a very high prey drive. A secure garden with 6ft fencing is essential. Raven is never to be off lead in public.
Raven is treat & toy focused.
(she absolutely loves playing ball, she will fetch and drop the ball at your feet repeatedly).
Raven knows basic commands and is very driven. This makes training her a breeze, and she has the potential to achieve great things with a dedicated & committed owner.
Raven is stranger friendly and will lean into you for a cuddle after a few treats. She will make a very loyal companion to someone active.
Raven could possibly live with a neutered dog friendly, robust, active dog. We envisage that Raven would instigate a lot of play, so no elderly, timid dogs.
A few introductions on neutral territory would be essential. Raven is not reactive to passing dogs or dogs in adjoining pens at kennels. No cats or small animals.
Raven could live with dog savvy children aged 10 plus. Measures would need to be taken to ensure that Raven wasn’t let out accidentally.
Raven would not do well living in a flat
Garden must be secure with 6ft high robust fencing.
Raven does not want to be home alone for long hours.
If you live in rented accommodation, we must see landlord’s permission to have a large breed dog on the premises – This is non-negotiable.
Raven will be spayed as a condition of adoption. This will be funded by ARW and timed age appropriate to her seasons.
