Teddy is a 4 year old male Akita who was found as a stray before being rescued. We’re helping another rescue find this lovely boy the forever home he deserves.
Teddy is a quiet lad who’s looking for a calm and peaceful home where he can truly relax and find his paws. He may take a little while to warm up and trust new people, but once he does, you’ll be treated to the most heart melting wiggles.
Because of his sensitive nature, he is often a little conflicted, therefore to set him up for success Teddy will thrive best in an adult only home without other pets, where he can soak up all the love and attention from his humans.
He can sometimes feel a bit unsure of the world, so he needs patient adopters who can understand his body language and give him the reassurance he needs. With time and kindness, Teddy will learn that life isn’t so scary after all.
This boy enjoys gentle fuss on his own terms, loves his toys, and already has some great manners; he’s housetrained and knows cues like sit and paw. Teddy also travels well in the car, so he’ll likely enjoy little adventures with his new adopters.
He may be okay being left for short periods once settled, with the potential to build on this as he gains confidence and becomes settled.

He needs a secure garden with robust 6ft fencing.
Teddy would not be suited to life in a flat.
