Ares is a stunning, young Brindle boy, who at 2 years old is looking for his forever home through no fault of his own. Still filling out, heโs in excellent condition with a beautiful coat and a big personality to match. Heโs young, friendly, affectionate and eager to please making him a wonderful family companion.
When you meet Ares, youโll be greeted with lots of enthusiasm. Heโs a bouncy, excitable boy but well mannered and soon settles down, responsive to commands.
He can be a little unsure of men at first, so we recommend introductions outside of the home and giving him time to build trust. Once heโs comfortable, Ares shows just how affectionate and cuddly he can be, especially with women, heโs a real ladiesโ man!
Ares is a quick learner who enjoys training and picks up new commands with ease. Like many young dogs, he can be a bit strong on the lead at first but soon settles into a good pace. His new family will need to continue his training to help him grow into the well-rounded Akita heโs already becoming. This clever lad already knows sit, down, paw, and even play dead!
He currently lives happily with children. So could live with dog savvy children aged 10+
He currently lives with another dog, so would be able to live with a spayed patient female dog based on careful introductions.
He has shown no interest in cats nearby but has not been tested around them โ so on this basis we would suggest a home with no cats.
Secure garden with robust 6ft fencing.
If you live in rented accommodation, we must see landlordโs permission to house a large breed dog on the premises.
He has been neutered and his vaccinations are up to date.
Ares is clearly a much loved pet and is being rehomed reluctantly. He will thrive with an active, committed family who can continue his training and socialisation, and who will give him the love and structure he deserves.
