𝗕𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗸𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗮𝘀 𝗞𝗼𝗱𝗶 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗵𝗼𝗺𝗲! 
This adoption was another fantastic example of teamwork, as we joined forces with the lovely folks at Sibes and Sled Dogs Husky Welfare to help this handsome boy find the right match.
Father and son Ranjit, Ajay & family sadly lost their beloved Japanese Akita Inu, Teddy, to an auto-immune disease at a very young age, a devastating blow. 
After a period of grieving, they opened their hearts once again to another Akita, and we were determined to help them find the perfect companion.
Earlier this year, we thought we’d found an ideal match for them. The family arranged a meet and greet, excited to finally meet their potential new family member but sadly, the dog’s owners never showed up. It was a long journey and a huge disappointment for everyone involved.
Despite this setback, Ranjit, Ajay & family remained incredibly patient and positive, trusting that the right dog would come along. 
And then came Kodi. 
Kodi (who turns 1 year old today! 
) had a rough start to life, found abandoned in a cardboard box with his siblings, hand-reared by the rescue, then adopted and later returned due to his owner’s sudden ill health.
Now this cheeky pup is settling into life as an Essex boy, keeping Ranjit, Ajay & family on their toes! He’s full of puppy energy, but with time and training, he’s going to be an incredible companion.
We couldn’t be happier for this beautiful boy and his wonderful new family.
