Smitten Adoption Alert
A female Akita X came to ARW’s attention when her time was up as an unclaimed stray in a council pound. She had no name, no date of birth and no microchip. The vet thought her to be about a year old. Her ribs and backbone were showing but her character shone through. I gave her my birthday as that was the day I met her. At ARW we named her Raven. She was beautiful inside and out. ARW had Raven DNA tested and she is 91% Akita and 100% gorgeous girl. Raven waited in kennels for over nine months before her luck changed.
David is an ex army dog handler. His beloved Husky X Rottie had passed away with age related illness. He short listed two Akitas on ARW’s website. Once he knew Ravens story, David wanted to meet her. It was a long drive and love at first sight. David’s parents love Raven so much that they will never want David to move out.
Raven is surrounded by love. She is such a good loving girl. Training has been a doddle so far. Raven loves her adventures away in David’s van.
