Kaida finds her Happy Ever After

Six year old Kaida’s owner needed to urgently rehome her due to moving to a property with no landlord permission to own a dog there.

ARW ensured that her breeder was aware of Kaida’s plight and they collected her without hesitation. ARW worked with her breeder to find a suitable home and to have Kaida spayed in advance of her adoption, allowing for recovery before introductions were made. When it comes to spaying, timing between seasons is crucial and Kaida’s timing aligned.

David had recently lost his beloved Akita cross Husky, Sophie at the ripe age of twelve. Sophie was adopted from Battersea and lived with David in beautiful Hampshire. With an active lifestyle and plenty of time for an Akita in need, ARW home checked David and arranged introduction to Kaida. Kaida’s breeders did not hesitate in doing all they could to for Kaida. They drove the distance to meet David half way.

It’s safe to say, this is a match made in heaven. Kaida will now be following in Sophie’s paw prints and enjoying regular beach walks and David’s undivided attention as well as his or should I say their, fabulous and secure garden.

Thank you to all involved in making this adoption possible as well as one very happy man and one very happy Akita no longer in need.
