We’re brightening up this dreary Monday with the most wonderful update, Haru and Hana (now Akira) have found their forever home! 
This adoption is another perfect example of how teamwork makes the dream work.
We were helping to advertise this gorgeous father and daughter duo Haru and Hana on behalf of Japanese Shiba Inu Rescue (UK).
Haru is an Akita x Shiba, and Hana’s mum was a Malamute cross, making them a truly unique and beautiful pair.
Sadly, their story began with heartbreak they were listed for sale online for just £50. Thankfully, JSIR stepped in immediately, bringing them into safety, ensuring they were neutered, vaccinated, and cared for in kennels. Despite their lovely temperaments, they didn’t receive much adoption interest, so we offered to help share their story.
That’s when Sarah and her family entered the picture. With Shiba experience in the family but hoping for a larger breed, they had originally applied to adopt an Akita. After a successful home check, we introduced the idea of Haru and Hana to them. Sarah and family traveled to JSIR to meet them and it was love at first sight! 
The bonded pair are now living their best lives spoilt, adored, and thriving in their new home, even enjoying regular training sessions.
